The client

PukaUp is a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to ending suicide. As mental health advocates, they believe education and open conversations are the key to emotional wellbeing. They’re working to close the gap between just knowing mental health matters and actually taking steps to stay well. PukaUp creates supportive environments for open conversations about mental health and offers tools like workplace presentations, webinars, and an exciting new course.

The challenge

Puka Up’s ability to blend science and storytelling to connect with their audience is what sets them apart. As a long-time partner of Kodaa, we've helped them create a consistent brand story across their website, email, social marketing, and print materials. So when PukaUp was ready to relaunch their Foundations of Wellbeing online course on their own platform, we were there to make it happen. 


Usually, employers offer the Foundations of Wellbeing course to their employees. The online platform needed to make it easy for organizations to join and let participants kick off their wellness journey. Keeping everyone active and engaged in the program was crucial, so they'd complete the course and get the most out of it.

What we did

We teamed up with a development partner to create a branded education portal for the Foundations of Wellbeing program. The framework was already there, so our goal was to add some personality to it and make sure our client stayed informed and in control throughout the process, helping them get things done quickly.


The most exciting part of the job for us was designing automated email workflows to guide participants and keep them engaged. We mapped out the whole customer journey, found the right moments to interact with participants, and came up with a strategy for delivering the perfect message at the right time.


After defining the journey, we collaborated with the client and their amazing copywriter to create the perfect words for each interaction. We then worked with the platform developer to set up the triggers needed for a smooth experience. Finally, we built and tested each sequence, and helped PukaUp launch the program for their first corporate client.
